INTERNATIONAL RADIO DEBUT

GIANTS IN HOLLYWOOD
Hall of Giants tour successful for Matt Stansberry Band
The Matt Stansberry Band (MSB), recently performed two concerts in Hollywood, California in support of their latest EP release, Hall of Giants. The performances were part of the band's Hall of Giants Tour. The tour that began in February 2007 in Oklahoma City has brought the band radio play, an LA Music Awards nomination, television appearances and a showcase at the Heart of Texas Music Festival in Austin's South by Southwest Music Festival. The band's first appearance was at the King King on Hollywood Boulevard, followed by The Gig on Melrose Avenue the next night. Here are some comments received after the performances:
"The best new band I've seen this year," said Tara Flynn, ABC Television.
"They were such gifted musicians; I enjoyed watching them as much as listening," said Jason Chanos, veteran equity theater star in Los Angeles, referring to the bands ability to entertain the audience.
Charles Miller, Los Angeles movie producer, summed up the King King performance by saying "The Matt Stansberry Band shook the house in the middle of Hollywood Blvd."
"The Matt Stansberry Band could easily be the feature band on Saturday Night Live...they are that good!" said John Keating, star of the film Thanks for the Ride and seen on Comedy Central's Mind of Mencia.

LA Music Awards Nomination:

MSB was recently nominated for an LA Music Award. The Los Angeles Music Awards is the largest and longest running Hollywood red carpet event for Independent Artists in the world. Past nominations and awards have gone to acts such as No Doubt, Sugar Ray, Korn, Black Eyed Peas, 311 and more of the music industry's elite.

Matt Stansberry Band Represents Oklahoma at Heart of Texas Music Festival during South By Southwest
The Hall of Giant's February 10th release in Oklahoma City launched the band into their 2007 tour. MSB will be making stops in Missouri, Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas; including a stop at this year's Heart of Texas Music Festival during Austin's SXSW. As the only Oklahoma band on the roster, MSB is scheduled to play at the Heart of Texas Music Festival at Treasure Island (6th Street) Friday, March 16. This festival features the best in unsigned talent that Austin and the surrounding Southwest region have to offer, as well as some of the best indie artists from across America and beyond. |
